The new, adjustable Slam-Proof® EdgeHalt® Posi-Stop Full Height Ladder Safety Gate is the perfect solution when you don’t have a regular railing or surface for a strike plate to stop or rest in place against. Unlike our other gates that require a strike plate or a post on the opposite side for support, the patent-pending Posi-Stop uses an engineered internal stop built into the hinge-side structure. This eliminates the need for any hardware or structure on the far side of the opening – the gate itself provides the stopping force needed for fall protection. This design also makes it ideal for large openings: You can install two Posi-Stop gates, one on each side, to form a double gate, covering wider areas while still providing the same level of fall protection (without needing anything in the middle to support or stop the gates).
