Zorbit energy absorber kit
DBI Sala Zorbit energy absorber limits fall arrest forces
Exclusive energy absorbing technology limits fall arrest forces on the worker to safe levels, minimizes fall clearance needed and protects the structure.
Mounting kit includes 2 shackles and fasteners
Heavy duty galvanized anchoring hardware included for fast and easy installation and use.
Horizontal lifeline turnbuckle tensioner
Rugged turnbuckle provides an extremely simple and fast means of tensioning your horizontal lifeline system.
For use with horizontal lifeline system
Allows you to configure your own horizontal lifeline system with an energy absorbing system for added safety and security
Allows use of standard 5,000 lb. (22.2 kN) anchors
Device is specifically designed to be used with standard (temporary or permanent) anchorage devices such as tie-off adaptor, fixed beam anchor, D-ring anchor plates and more for complete jobsite flexibility and ease of use.
We’ve taken the guesswork out of putting together your own horizontal lifeline system. Can you answer the following questions? How much clearance do I need? How will lifeline sag and span distance affect the safety of my system? What forces will be generated on my end anchors? Do my anchorage connectors and support structure have sufficient strength? Now you can. This revolutionary new shock absorber featured on our SecuraSpan™ and cable Sayfline™ systems is also available separately. In situations where a competent person understands the requirements needed, Zorbit™ can be attached to your own system to bring safety to a previously unsafe system. You can always depend on our horizontal safety systems for mobility and fall protection when working at height. We offer the broadest selection, as well as significant advantages in safety and productivity.
Horizontal Lifelines (HLL)
Horizontal lifelines are more than a mere line connected between 2+ anchors, it is a secure attachment point for users working across a large horizontal surface. These systems are used to protect workers operating in the horizontal plane who may not have continuous access to suitable anchorage points.
Choosing the right horizontal lifelines depends on:
- The attachment structure - like I-beam, rebar stub, concrete, column or roof/
- Lifeline material type - Synthetic lines are extremely lightweight and compact while galvanized or stainless steel options offer added corrosion and abrasion resistance and typically require less fall clearance.
- Your clearance requirements - The distance between the work area and the next level or obstruction is often called “fall clearance,”
- Number of users - Systems are available for one, two, and even up to six workers depending upon your job-site needs.
In short - horizontal lifelines allow users to move across large work areas while remaining connected to a continuous system.
