The Finishing Rail is used to abut an access ladder. The 'D' Extension keeps the bases away from the ladder landing, thus eliminating a trip hazard at the egress/ingress point of the ladder that the bases may cause. Using two of these rails makes a great ladder access walkway that meets OSHA regulations. Adding a Ladder Safety Gate creates a secured access area. We can manufacture to your needs. The most common size is 7ft long. This will bring the access point beyond the 6' OSHA set back from the leading edge.
